The honest case for native Android over Flutter or React Native comes down to hardware access and long-term Google support - Kotlin is Google's own preferred language for Android, so new OS features land here first, and deep hardware integrations are more reliable built natively than through a cross-platform bridge. If you also need an iOS app and budget is a real constraint though, building native Android and native iOS separately roughly doubles cost and timeline versus one Flutter or React Native codebase. If you also need iOS and budget matters, cross-platform is usually the better start. Native makes sense when your app needs deep hardware access, background processing, or Android-specific OS features as soon as they're released.
How do you handle Android's device fragmentation?
We test across a real range of screen sizes, OS versions, and hardware tiers rather than a single device, since that's where most Android bugs actually show up once an app reaches real users.
Jetpack Compose or the older XML layout system, which will you use?
Jetpack Compose by default for new projects, since it's faster to build with and where Google is steering Android development. For existing apps built on the older View system, we maintain and extend that directly instead of forcing an unnecessary rewrite.
Can you integrate hardware features like camera, Bluetooth, or NFC?
Yes, this is a common part of native Android work. Camera, Bluetooth, NFC, and other sensor integrations are generally more reliable built natively than through a cross-platform layer.
How much does a native Android app cost?
Generally more than an equivalent cross-platform build, since native Android and iOS are separate codebases if you need both. We'll give you a real number after understanding your feature list and whether iOS is also part of the plan.
Do you provide support after the app launches?
